What started as a love of babywearing evolved to creating custom carriers in a variety of styles. From meh dais to full buckles, and finally onbuhimos, I worked to find small designer-created fandom fabrics to pair with linen in a lightweight and breathable carrier. My love of textiles found a great outlet in woven wraps and the custom wrap conversion carriers became a highlight of the Gracie and Sam portfolio.

Over time, I explored bags as a way to keep creative energies flowing. I discovered a talent for taking a variety of bag designers' patterns, pairing them with my beloved textiles, and then dove into the tactile luxury of leather to find a particular style for what became Gracie and Sam Bags. My affection for exploring new patterns, the respect I have for the many pattern designers with whom I've become acquainted, and the freedom to mix and match for custom creations has made bag making a true passion and labor of love.

Every item made by Gracie and Sam, LLC is made by me from start to finish. I frequently consult with the customer for their custom design and then begin the process of bringing the vision to life. Whether it is a baby carrier intended to wear precious cargo or a bag using a favorite baby wrap that's no longer needed for ups, craftsmanship is of highest priority.-
